Project Details

The Challenge

Long lines at gated community entrances often result from the standard procedure of security personnel contacting residents to verify visitor permissions, followed by issuing temporary passes.

Let Me In is a mobile app (available on iOS and Android) designed to provide associations and residents with a time-saving tool that enables instant pass issuance directly from their mobile devices.

Collaborative App Design Process

I joined the project to help establish the layout and elements for the upcoming app. Mid-fidelity wireframes, along with an interactive prototype, were delivered, tested, and refined. The visual design and development were carried out by the DS Xpress team. The project scope was determined by stakeholders, who provided a list of essential functionalities to be integrated into the app.

The project includes a custom mobile app and a robust dashboard, each tailored to different user types.

The app and dashboard are seamlessly integrated with a live database, providing real-time access to critical information about visitor permits. This makes it easy for users to manage and track visitors, ensuring smooth and secure access to the community.

The dashboard provides a range of features, including permit management, visitor logs, and security alerts, while the mobile app offers visitors an easy and convenient way to request access for the visitors, and check-in when they arrive.

Beyond the Scope: Enhanced Design Direction"

Although my primary responsibility in this project was to deliver mid-fidelity wireframes, I took the initiative to elevate the app's visual design. Drawing inspiration from Miami's high-end buildings, sharp architectural forms, and colors that evoke a sense of security (such as blue and green), I created a striking contrast against white and dark-grey background hues.
